Baroness May Blood

It is with deep regret we have learned of the death of our Patron, Baroness May Blood. She was supportive of our concerns regarding party of esteem in the field of mental health, and the work we carried out within the community of Northern Ireland.

She attended our Conference, when her other obligations allowed and gave us all encouragement and pride in our work. Alongside counselling, she was very interested in integrated education and congratulated us in our work with Children and Young People.

Baroness May or just May as she liked to be be called, advocated for our work within the community and voluntary service in the House of Lords and her ability to highlight Northern Ireland mental health issues and the role of Counselling in particular will be greatly missed.

We will miss her down to earth personality, warmth and empathy.
